After leaving the synagogue we were on our way to the kasbah.  We were entering through Bab Haha, one of the gates into the kasbah.  From here we had a view of a man-made harbor which helps protect an armada of fishing boats.  And, it's not only fishing boats.
The kasbah has many narrow streets, steep hills and lots of shops.  It was a little difficult for Granny but she took her time and did very well.
Always something new and interesting.  This shop displayed a wall of candles in a rainbow of colors.  Another shop with a selection of spices.
The kasbah is a maze of narrow "streets" with occasional "squares" and other areas where there are stalls and shops.
The kasbah was a fortress and like most strategic areas it was built on top of a hill.  Above is a panoramic view overlooking the port.  Notice the cannons.   On the left is a closeup picture of one of them.  On the right, our guide, Fahis, and Granny.
Our last full day in Morocco and we are off to the town of Asilah.  We stopped in the town square for a few minutes and watched the activity of a quiet town.  Then it was off to the medina.  Clcik HERE for a "stroll" through the Asilah medina.  While in the medina, we came to a corner where there were three men giving a "concert" and doing a little dancing.   Click HERE to see a video of the "concert".
On our way back to Tangier, we stopped at an overlook and watched some tourists taking camel rides on the sandy beach.  Somehow that didn't appeal to us but it was fun to watch.  Click HERE to see a camel ride.
Our stay in Morocco has come to an end.  It's time to board the ferry to Tarifa, Spain.   Then it's on to Seville.
